AbacusPro ("we", "us") is an educational app that teaches soroban abacus — fast mental maths the ancient way. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and your rights.

What we collect

AbacusPro stores everything locally on your device. We do not collect your name, email address, or any other personally identifying information. Specifically:

• Learner profiles — names and progress you create are stored only on your device using local storage. They are never sent to our servers.
• Practice results — your scores, session history, and progress are stored only on your device.

Voice pack downloads

If you choose to download an audio voice pack (Japanese, Hindi, or Korean), the app fetches audio files from our content delivery network (Cloudflare R2). This request includes standard network metadata (your IP address and the file requested). We do not log or retain these requests beyond what Cloudflare's infrastructure normally handles. No personal data is sent.

In-app purchases

If you purchase a subscription, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple's App Store. We use RevenueCat to validate purchase receipts and manage subscription entitlements. RevenueCat receives an anonymised device identifier — not your name or payment details. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for details.

What we don't do

• We don't use your data for advertising.
• We don't sell your data to anyone.
• We don't track you across other apps or websites.
• We don't require an account to use the app.

Children's privacy

AbacusPro is designed for learners of all ages, including children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from any user. Because all data stays on-device, parents and guardians can review or delete all learner data at any time through the app's settings.

Your rights (UK & EU)

If you are in the UK or EU, you have rights under UK GDPR / GDPR including the right to access, correct, or erase your data. Because AbacusPro stores all data locally on your device, you can exercise these rights directly within the app. If you have questions or wish to contact us, use the details below.
